The SATUK Awards
An annual celebration by the Student Association of the Technical University of Kenya, recognising students whose leadership, creativity, enterprise, service and sporting excellence shape university life.
Our purpose
To publicly honour student excellence, encourage participation in university life, and record the contributions of students who go beyond what is expected of them.
Who can be nominated
Bona fide students, student teams, clubs, societies and faculties of the Technical University of Kenya who were active during the 2026/2027 academic period.
Our principles
Fairness, transparency and integrity. Every nomination is reviewed by the awards committee and every vote is protected against duplication.
How it works
Nomination
Students, staff and the wider university community submit nominations with supporting evidence. Every submission receives a unique reference number.
Review & verification
The awards committee reviews each nomination for eligibility, verifies details and approves or rejects it. Nominating is not voting.
Approved nominees
Only administrator-approved nominees are published under their award category and become eligible for the public vote.
Public voting
When voting opens, the community votes once per category. Votes are recorded securely and voter details are never published.
Results
Results remain sealed until the awards committee chooses to publish them.
